As I’ve mentioned before, most of my programming these days involves Python and PHP. So out of the links for this week, my two favorites are this huge collection of Python videos and this great collection of PHP resources. But I also have to say this Java 8 guide was a terrific find, even though I’m not using Java for anything at the moment.

Coolest link this week? The Analogue Nt. If, like me, you grew up playing Nintendo games then you need to pre-order this thing.

This week I found an amazing article on hexagonal grids which I strongly recommend for all game developers. If you only read one link from this week’s list, make it that one. And be sure to check out the hexagon Haskell library by the same author.

Lately I have been doing more work in Python and PHP, so this week you will see more links for those two languages than anything else. As always I hope you find something useful and/or interesting!
Links of Week, W43 2015
My collection of links this weeks contains more about Python than anything else. But this free book is my favorite link of the week, with this also free book being a very close second.

This week’s list of links contains one new category: Books, in which I link to both free and non-free books that I’d recommend to programmers and game developers.
My favorite link I came across this week? That’s easy: an annotated hex-dump of Ms. Pac-Man. I love ‘reading’ that kind of stuff. If you’re a fellow Pac-Man fan but aren’t interested in looking at hex-dumps then be sure to read and bookmark the amazing Pac-Man Dossier. You will also notice a number of links related to Pac-Man this week. I love that game, so it was one of those situations where reading one site about Pac-Man turned into three or fours hours of looking at everything Pac-Man.
Oh, and one other thing—Programming Sucks.

Another Sunday and another weekly collection of links. New to the series is the Game Trailers category. And if you are only going to read one article from this list—especially you game developers—then make it this one.

The links in bold are those which I consider to be particularly interesting and worth checking out, so this week I decided to place all such links at the top of their respective sections.

Here’s the second installment of my new weekly, every-Sunday ‘Links of the Week’ collection. There are lots of interesting links this week for programmers using C, C++, JavaScript, Python, and Rust, along with links to some cool games and game engines.
Enjoy!

Long-time readers might remember my Book of the Week series of posts. And such readers will also know how long it has been since I’ve update that. So today I am presenting a new-yet-similar type of article, one which I will be posting every Sunday: Links of the Week.
These are all of the interesting programming, game development, and computer science links and projects which I found and read over the past seven days. Those marked in bold are links which I found especially interesting and more strongly recommend compared to the rest.
And yes, I honestly do read and watch this much material on a weekly basis. Anyway, I hope you find something that interests you as well. So let’s commence with the links!
