As I’ve mentioned before, most of my programming these days involves Python and PHP. So out of the links for this week, my two favorites are this huge collection of Python videos and this great collection of PHP resources. But I also have to say this Java 8 guide was a terrific find, even though I’m not using Java for anything at the moment.

Links of the Week, W42 2015

This week’s list of links contains one new category: Books, in which I link to both free and non-free books that I’d recommend to programmers and game developers.

My favorite link I came across this week? That’s easy: an annotated hex-dump of Ms. Pac-Man. I love ‘reading’ that kind of stuff. If you’re a fellow Pac-Man fan but aren’t interested in looking at hex-dumps then be sure to read and bookmark the amazing Pac-Man Dossier. You will also notice a number of links related to Pac-Man this week. I love that game, so it was one of those situations where reading one site about Pac-Man turned into three or fours hours of looking at everything Pac-Man.

Oh, and one other thing—Programming Sucks.

Links of the Week, W38 2015

Long-time readers might remember my Book of the Week series of posts. And such readers will also know how long it has been since I’ve update that. So today I am presenting a new-yet-similar type of article, one which I will be posting every Sunday: Links of the Week.

These are all of the interesting programming, game development, and computer science links and projects which I found and read over the past seven days. Those marked in bold are links which I found especially interesting and more strongly recommend compared to the rest.
